Regeneration

The project investigates the feasibility of transforming the former Italcementi factory into a Commercial Park.
The urban and intensive nature of the buildings and the small size of the land plot available go well with the philosophy adopted by the Firm of "building on the built" in order not to consume more land.
The commercial functions are therefore articulated in height, containing the footprint on the ground: the car parks on the street level, the circular access path to the various shops, medium-sized areas and the hypermarket on the first level and a further level for the refreshment area and the space dedicated to educational entertainment. The peculiarity of the urban insertion of this project is the absence of that artificial symmetry and compositional poverty that often trivializes the suburban settlements linked to shopping, banality that the city, with the richness of its stratifications, of its references and connections, of its vital forces, does not allow in any way.
